Thought I might use a current/topical title for this one

Ironic I'm posting this remotely from a location far, far colder than when the image was taken, so greeting from Canada. Shot towards the end of the day, this Tiger was just taking time out as the heat of the day slowly began to drop, albeit minimal. Would have preferred more image space at the foot of the image and no lighter, OOF stem across the shoulder, but hey...

Steve - you covered the two things that jumped out at me but overall a nice image of a beautiful cat. Excellent detail as always and great look at the open mouth and teeth.

Excellent detail & techs Steve. Since the image is about the tiger's face,I actually like how tight in the frame it is. The grass shows the tiger in its environment which I also like. I probably would have never noticed the OOF grass until you mentioned it. Great image Steve.

Lovely details in soft light Steve. The OOF grass is not over the face so not a biggy for me.
Would love to photograph these iconic cats one day.
Do you have a touch more room on top?? (more below would've been nice, but you indicated that it's FF there)

Awesome image Steve. I just returned from a not so exciting safari at the Nagarahole wildlife sanctuary. No luck with tigers there. Got a glimpse of one but no photo op as he disappeared in the bushes.
the details in your image are superb. The comp and pose are lovely.
    cheers

Very nice close up and I too would not have noticed the OOF grass.
I am puzzled by the open mouth, is that grass on the upper teeth?
Surprised no one else mentioned it. It looks fine, just don't know what I am seeing?

Just bright green foliage that happened to be in that exact position Dan.

Steve, great image, as usual, sharpening on the dot, sorry that I have been absent for while, very busy and your tiger has a purple tongue!!
    Mine don't
Anyway, I still wonder how you do it with such great looking fur. Any tips from overseas ??

Wow such wonderful detail and tack sharp. I do not mind the grasses to the right in fact I think they help frame this beautiful cat.
