nice pose and perch, I wish for a little more head turn towards the viewer and a better light angle (back plumage is too dark), it needs more room on the bottom

I have to agree with you, now I look again, I was looking through rose tinted glasses, this was the first day of sunshine for weeks!

Beautiful pose. I agree with Arash about the sun angle being a little too far left which leaves rear plumage a little too dark. On my Mac Book Pro the white chest looks a little hot too but that could just be me. Lovely detail in the feathers. A very pleasing image.

Nits noted, I do like the image despite that. The light angle is of concern. And I understand that you have to make hay with what little light opportunities you have.

I'm going to go the other way and say I like the light angle, because it makes the bird's feather detail stand out more, and provides some 3-dimensional modeling. I don't think the back is too dark, as there is plenty of detail there. I think your BG is stunning, with a beautiful shade of blue color. Very well done, Jon.

Thanks very much for the C&C everyone much appreciated, I was aware of the light angle but as you indicate Jon I had to make do, if I had tried to go further round to the left I would have spooked the birds. They were resting on thee rocks at high tide, I was quite close and to get further round would have entailed climbing on the rocks, so it was a no no.

Hi Jon. Very nice sharpness and a beautiful background. I would agree with Dennis about the light angle (he has already said it quite well so I won't repeat). I would only wish for a little more room at the bottom. This is very well done!
