    Default Lilly Trotter

A juvenile African Jacana foraging along a Water Lilly bank. These birds large feet allow them to disperse there weight over a larger surface area so that they can walk on the large leaves of the lilies. This image was shot sitting on the floor of a boat to get a lower angle

    Very nice Brendon.
I like the fact that you have such a clean BG and the way the 3 lilies sit in the corner.
Nice light and leg up pose.
I would clone out the 3 specular highlights in front of the jacana.

Beautiful shot with some lovely light here, as well as the perfect HA and raised foot of the jacana, showing the long toes perfectly. Compositionally I think that if the flowers were on the other side of the frame, the shot would've looked more balanced. Still a great shot though!

A really cool shot.I like the nice low shooting angle, pose and the three blossoms. The raised foot and implied motion adds a lot. I would spend a few moments to remove the various specular highlights from a very nice photo.

Lovely image with great colours and a nice low angle. The flowers add alot and the pano crop works very well. As well as the three highlights that Gail mentions I'd also eliminate the two larger ones in the BG above the subject's back.

very nice shot indeed, I like the composition and the pose of the subject. There are a few specular highlights to the left and right of the bird, some by the lilies and a few less bothersome ones elsewhere.

Great shot Brendan. I like the pano crop too. As far as the BG, while there is nothing really wrong with it, it's so colorful with those "layers", it seems to compete with the bird to some extent. Love the three lily flowers to the left. Overall, very well done.

Always envious of shot of these fascinating birds, this ones extra nice with some natural environment included and especially liking the colors, a veritable kaleidoscope. Loving the Water Lillies and I rather like them being on the left with uncluttered space in the direction the bird is traveling. All sits in the wide aspect frame nicely, and exposure well handled....probably clone out the 3 bright highlights, but apart from that ...nicely done
