Taken one evening while looking for Long-eared Owls. The raised foot is either injured or a deformity as she never put it down. She was on a berm in a golf course beside the road. I was hoping for a flight shot but she stayed put as her compatriots fled.
I know the head angle is not the best but I really like this picture.

Lovely light and detail and do like how you captured the wing color patch so nicely....the background is extra nice, very smooth and contrasts beautifully with the duck, very low angle of shot works nicely...only wish the head was a little more towards the camera

Lovely job pp,n. I really like how the duck is a bit darker than bg and really pops. Very sharp. low angle works well. Just that slight head turn would have been great.

Nice grassy setting and beautiful BG. Sharp details. I too would prefer a better head angle, but I can see why you like this picture.
