Eastern Yellow Robin from a trip interstate a while back...this was one of a family that hung around my campsite for a while with quite curious natures as this image shows .
Canon 7D + 500 f4......f4, 1/1250, ISO 640, no flash fired..........dull overcast conditions in a forest clearing, added a bit of twig on the left to remove it's jagged end and removed a single vertical twig on the upper right, selective sharpen and 4 runs of full strength noise reduction to backdrop.
What a nice pose & curious bird! Excellent perch & BG. I'm not sure whether you could putting the bird more toward the right of the frame would be better or not?
Taa for looking....it was only a very small crop with his tail so erect, in the long run I chose this comp....I found this one awkward to decide how to crop.
Beautiful shot, Phil. Sometimes the birds just don't seem to fit any predetermined aspect ratio, huh? Love the pose and the muted BG. Great shot overall!
