NYC Great Horned Owls
Shot with the 1DIII and 400L 5.6 while walking the dogs in a NYC Park at 11:00am.

Frank, you must have been thrilled to find these. Nice birds. From a photography standpoint, they were not in the best of spots as it is quite cluttered. I also saw one recently here in a similar spot.
Please give details of the SS, aperture and ISO as that helps in critiquing. Hope you get them in a better spot next time.

How super to have capture the pair together. I like the environmental feel to the GHO on the right but wish the owl on the left didn't have the stick through the head. I realize there was absolutely nothing you could do about that. Like seeing the talons on the one bird as well.
