Lovely pose and a great background, I really like the colours but I wonder if they are perhaps just a little over saturated on the owl, especially the left wing??
The image is sharp but I wonder if your sharpening mask missed the feet and talons? Composition good but perhaps a little more space on the right or move the bird a fraction to the left, his eyes would then be looking towards the bottom right corner.

thanks for comments Jonathan, did not use a sharpening mask, but I am a bit baffled why the feet are soft, when shutter speed was 1/2500s,as for the saturation, did not not use much,as this was a nice colored bird, thanks again for comments, taken on board.

Nice dynamic pose and great BG, was this cropped from the original and if so how much.

Nice light, great wing position, complimentary background. I could also imagine seeing him just a tad to the left and down, but very nice as presented. (Just the slivver of white along the bottom edge to fix.) I'd love to see and capture one of these guys in flight.

Hi Chris, great hunting pose with the raised wings, and nicely separated from the surrounding BG. I agree with Jon, moving him back up to the ULC wont harm. Well captured.

agree that having the bird a bit to the left would make it a stronger composition. I also am surprised that the feet are not sharp at that SS. Absolutely loved the habitat BG.

That's a different pose, and a nice one too. BG is beautiful. You've got some more great photos of the Barn on your site.
