I've had this image around and always wanted to try a sepia tone treatment on it. I used two texture layers plus a canvas texture in PS. Also applied a vignette in Nik Efex.

I love it. Underlying great image with beautiful PP techniques applied. Very nice!
Love it Kerry. He looks like he's charging out of a huge cloud of dust.
Hey, Kerry, I think the toning is absolutely perfect for the image especially combined with the textures. There is one dark raised spot in the lower left about where the dark blends into the lighter vignette that I would remove but other than that it's beautiful![]()

Very striking, Kerry. Love the textures you chose for this. He does seem to be emerging from a dust cloud. The bison seems a little over sharpened to my eye. I applied a teenie tiny bit of gaussian blur (0.4) and liked what it did.
I remember this image well, Kerry, and I think it looks awesome in sepia! It has that perfect "old" look to it.I think Maureen has a good idea with adding a tiny bit of blur.
Thanks everyone! Good call on the sharpness, I love having other eyes on images as I stare at them and think I'm done. Here's a repost with some diffusion added in Topaz Lens Effects, a filter that has a lot of uses.

Repost looks good, Kerry!
Yes -- love the repost even more!
I like the repost even better. looks like a big dust cloud as mentioned.
The repost rocks Kerry! It was a bit sharp for the background and overall look. The color, blurring and the texture are perfect for the image.
I'm late to the discussion, but want to say: Great work with textures here. They work beautifully with this image. I'd like something between the OP and the repost re. sharpness.
