Wow...love the owl, environment, exposure and background. Seems there is a lot of room above.

    Dave,
    Stunning photo.
A tad off the top for me, but excellent detail, eye contact, BG, it pretty much has it all.

Love those beautiful eyes, great details, sharpness, BG. The perch is a bit dominant, but it is what it is. Well done.

Brilliantly exposed, nicely framed and a smooth bg, although I would agree on the space on top. . A very pleasing overall image.

Lovely frame here, the 2 tones in the background look nice, I like the composition with lot of space at top works for me here
THe eye contact is the highlight and so is the wonderful exposure you have on the white

My eyes go straight to the Owls eyes...so very clear and bright, perfectly exposed and loving the blue backdrop...just a hint of halo showing on the top of the head and left hand side of neck

Love the contrast of the white Owl against the blue sky it really makes the image pop. I can see taken some more off the top and right side to making it a tighter crop but I am also fine with it as presented.

Great shot. I see allot of Snow Owls posted here and this is one of the best that I have seen. Perfect stare with both eyes lit. Exposure and details are beautiful and the BG is smooth. Another vote for more off the top. Nice!

Hi Dave, good eye contact with those lovely yellow eyes, and popping nicely from the well exposed plumage of the snowy. I would leave the top, as I feel taking off there will make this too squarish, but I would take some off the RHS.

I like this a lot as is but could also see a version with equal parts taken off right and above. Stunning portrait, lovely colors, and yes, perfect exposure. That layered background is very nice.

Thanks everyone for comments. I may bring in the top right corner a bit before putting file away.
And thanks Phil for catching the halos.
