    Karl:

I was off the grid and missed your previous post, but will look it up. Very interesting variant. Excellent pose, sharpness, exposure, perch.

The bokeh of the back ground is just a bit nervous/busy, and I might try a very subtle blur.

He is quite centered , and I might consider some alternative crops if you have some more canvas to work with.

    Enjoyed seeing this little fellow.

    Cheers

    Thnaks Randy.
I moved the bird to the left and somewhat blurred the background as you suggested.

Sweet subject and shot Karl, all the techs look lovely too.....as usual I'm a sucker for fine detail and this one has sucked me in nicely, not just a great shot but of a rarity as well. I wonder if a little more crop off the bottom to just a bit above your water mark and a sliver off the top may improve a little, I do like the lichen/moss covered perch, but maybe a bit too much of it as is ?

Nice find with the unique coloration. Bird is tack sharp and I really like the the perch.

Excellent Pose and light, good exposure control, nice comp and good ambient.

    The softer background works well.
