This Snowy Egret image was created at Little Estero Lagoon in Fort Myers Beach, FL on the recently concluded SW FLA IPT with the hand held Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens and the Canon EOS-1D X Digital SLR camera. ISO 400. Evaluative metering at zero as framed: 1/2000 sec. at f/8 confirmed via histogram check.

This is beautiful, super pose, the whites look great, the yellows of the face and feet just pop! I like the reflection of the water on the bird. Nicely done, awesome PP work as well Artie (From what I saw on your blog)

Hi Artie, the image quality here is excellent. Sharp, exposure spot on, background, reflection and tiny ripples behind him are the items I like. Nice to see the before and after in your blog.
That's one super pose, great exposure and sharpness. I might have considered moving him further to the left, at the expense of the ripples; but I can see why you left the ripples in place.
Great timing Arthur and those feet are tack sharp, nice exposure on the whites....it's the feet that really grabs ones attention, be a great shot in and arty {=pardon the pun } way just to crop the image to have the feet and reflection showing.
