Common here in Adelaide and consequently I dont bother taking photos of them, but sitting out in the back garden this morning this one was perching on one of my tomato stakes, so I tied a twig to the top of the stake and it wasn't long before he/she came in to investigate. Might have to find some more interesting/varied perches sometime and do same.
Weather was/is hot/humid and overcast so light was pretty poor, but at least the whites didn't blow.
Canon 7D + 500 f4. + 1.4 x TC.....700mm, f6.3, ISO 500, manual exposure, no flash used, tripod mounted....basic edit with small crop, selective sharpen, selective noise reduction and desaturate backdrop flowers
