Sunrise at Barnegat brought some of the most delicious light I have ever witnessed. I also saw the green flash at sunrise on that morning - first time seeing it at sunrise - I've seen it a few times at sunset before. No pics of that though. Here's a (herring?) gull enjoying the light and the warm-looking water.

Wow. Quite the light. I really like the idea and the composition. If you are into cloning I would remove the highlight below the gull and smooth over those on the rightside a bit.
Interesting about the green flash. I have never heard of that before.
Hey Rasta Mon, Well seen and executed. Unique. Love the light and all the soft specular highlights. A whack with the Clone Stamp Tool at 40% opacity would tone down the too-bright ones on the right.
i'd lose the one on the bill too for a non-contest version.

Thanks for your words, Dave and Artie. I'll be sure to try the clone stamp on the bright highlights on the right side, although initially I had left them there to balance the image. They do seem a bit too bright though. Not that proficient yet to attempt removal of the one on the bill! And I'm still to get my hands on Photoshop
