    Liking the over the back preening and it shows his distinctive bill perfectly. The overall image quality is lacking a little being a little soft and lacking fine detail. I'm guessing this was a big crop and as such it has lost detail. The main thing that caught my eye straight away was the square crop, I feel it would of been nicer with much more space on the left in the general direction the bird is facing so making a wider aspect frame.........

    Hi,

    I agree with Phil about the image quality, and prefer his crop. Having the bird even a bit farther over to the right would be even better IMO.

    You have some interesting behavior going on here. Nice colors and great angle on the bill. I think Phil helped to alleviate the noise issues. It seems you may have given this image quite a large crop which is causing some decrease in your details. It would be helpful if you could share your settings when you post your images. Your image needs a little bit of CW rotation.
