Weebill
Australia's smallest bird, the tiny Weebill is an active insectivore in drier forests. Unfortunately it flew in very close and I couldn't get enough DOF to get the tail/back in focus.

Thanks, Greg

Nice one Greg even if the tail/back is a little oof, but the eye is sharp and clear, these guys and other species of thornbills have great eyes I think and this one is showing it well

You did well considering you had to act fast. I like the flowers included and the super BG. You have nice details in the head where it really matters and the fact that the tail is OOF doesn't bother me.

Greg,
At that close distance I'm not sure you could have gotten the entire body in focus (at least not when the bird is in that position). You nailed the focus on the eye and face, and that's what counts.

Very well done with a nice clean pose and sharp where it matters most. I like the inclusion of the flowers as well.

Sweet little bird.
I am OK with the OOF tail because the head is so nice and sharp. Perfect HA and love the crystal clear eye.
Great BG and I like the flowers and the pop of yellow they give to the grey.
My only wish is that the LH edge didn't cut off the flower

Beautiful presentation. The yellows all flow together nicely. I love its "wee" bill : )

Nice image, Greg. You can improve the image by apply "flip horizontal" so the bird would face to the left. Also a little more selective sharpening of the tail area would be an improvement IMO.
