    Default Edo Kite

Some of you may know that I photograph (and fly) kites at festivals. This is an edo (ay-doh) kite, built by master kite builder Mikio Toki from Japan. I thought it would be cool to make it look like it was a painting on old fabric (it's actually a painting on new fabric). I used some textures and a vignette from Topaz Lens Effects as well as a grain effect, also in Lens Effects.

Hi, Kerry, I had forgotten that you liked kites. This is a great one and I love the textures and grain and vignette. The colors are perfect for the image.

Wow! does that bring back memories. used to build and fly fighters and sport kites with my sons. You've succeeded in the painted look and I love the image. If you ever get to the Wildwood International Kite Festival give me a holler.
