Had the good fortune of being able to photograph these guys in this beautiful nest at a local NWR. I would have loved to have gone back and tried again, but they fledged the day after this was taken.

The nest and curves in the tree are stunning. Just love the lines and the greens.
Owls are sweet but I would sharpen them a bit more. Great position relative to one another.
I see a slight magenta cast as well.
Like the feather sticking out of the tree.
This shot is wonderful and with these few tweaks I give you a 10 on this one and would hang it on the wall.

Agree with Gail, very nice shot. Just sharper and lose the magenta cast and it will put it over the top. Cute little guys, especially the big eyed protected one in the back. Very nice

Lucky you to have had a shot at this awesome nest. I think you did well and the repost took it up a notch. I really like that you left a large part of the nest environment. it makes the shot, next to those sweet expressions :)

I think there is still a colour cast. Here is an attempt to remove it. I like the eye contact, setting and composition. Beautiful image Bonnie!

What an awesome image, Bonnie! I love that incredible nest cavity! Your comp is wonderful, and to have them both looking at you like that is really special. I like Jim's repost a lot. Stellar photograph.

Absolute stunner, Bonnie. The nest cavity is incredibly beautiful with all those colors, curves and layers. There is so much to view and enjoy in this image. The duo is too cute. Jim's repost addressed the color cast nicely.
    Amazing image.

    What a great nest!
About as good and uncluttered look at a GHO nest and chicks as you could ask for, and at eye level at that.
Very nice. The tree is as nice as the Owl chicks.
    Congrats on a superb photo.

Beautiful shot of this awesome scene. Great nest with tons of color and an unobstructed view of the babies. Tech look good and Jim's repost looks like it took care of the cast. Very nice

Great habitat here, birds appear a little soft to me.

Super RP by Jim on an already kick butt image. I think he sharpened it as well, including the nest, which I like. What a super environmental capture, Bonnie. A ten for sure!

What a gorgeous nesting environment! (Not bad of the owls, either!)

    Stunning image!!!
This has to be the best nest shot I have seen.
Terrific comp, two great poses, and the last repost looks spot on.
    Very well done.

Thanks everyone for your comments and great suggestions on this image.
Shawn—Yes, it is better than the other one. It takes awhile to really find the best one out of a million shots! LOL!
