    This is lovely Dave.
I really like the neutral/earth colors and love the head turn and the sweep of the neck feathers.
I like your comp but if this was mine I would take some off the left.

Nice neutral colors and great detail on the owl. I like the comp but would probably take a sliver off the top.

Wonderful job, Dave. I love the curving lines in the feathers and the look back. Wonderful colors and IQ. I would be very happy with this. It's my favorite owl and you've done its beauty justice.

i would move the bird higher in the frame if you have the canvas to spare.

Nice sharp pose and a very nice comp, Dave.
Glad you left in the grasses on the right side.

Super look back pose and I like the inclusion of all the environment. Colors work very nicely together. Might have considered a little more DOF on the owl since you had ISO to spare with this body.

The problem with cropping some off the top is cutting through the grasses. I agree that you left them contained in the frame, Dave. You could lower that entire right portion, if you're into such manipulation. If not, it's good as is. I agree with a little off the left, to get rid of the bright pieces of grass in the LL.

Hi Dave, lovely soft light, and the angled head turn has shown up the eye so well. Comp wise, I would take a bit off the top, and as Gail mentioned a little off the right too. Great sighting, and wish I could experience these guys in person.
