Greetings
Hello All,
I want to say hi to all of the other bird photographers out there and look forward to participating in the forums. I am eager to learn and will soon post some photos in the ETL forum.
I am an engineer in Massachusetts. I have been doing DSRL bird photography for about half a year. The main impetus for this interest is the fact that my fiancee and I are planning a Tanzanian safari for our honeymoon.
As for gear, I am starting small with Nikon intro-consumer equipment. I am working to hone my field technique and technical skills before I can justify upgrading to more serious equipment.
Regards,
Josh

Welcome to BPN, Josh! What a trip you've got planned! You're on the right track re: justifying expenditure! After the wedding you'll have to be doing that for everything ;-)

Thanks for the greetings, everybody.
I'm currently working through digital basics and will post some images of wintering sea ducks before they go back to the Artic for the summer.

Welcome Joshua! I too lived in Mass for a few years right there downtown Boston. Great city! Looking forward to seeing your posts and a honymoon in Tanzania sounds like great fun.
