    Alan:

Great flare of wings and tail, sharp and well exposed.

It would be interesting to see this fellow against a slightly more neutral bg to see how he popped. Obviously good separation now, but just a thought.

    Cheers

This flight pose is just over the top, Alan. I was unaware of the various green tones in the feathers until this topside view. TFS.

Alan, Terrific image. Love the pose and the flared tail. What is the brown area on the deck feathers of the tail?

Hey Roy, I went back and looked at the RAW file and can't quite make out how the color is different. Must be a twist of the feathers, or shadowing.

I very much enjoy the full DOF here, and splayed primaries. A sensationally beautiful and well-lit image!

The pose cannot be any better than this, Alan. Love the forwards wings, fanned tail and the way the background colours match the bird's.
