Default Osprey Fishing _ Need Advice on PP

I took this image last November, but sat on it due to the poor lighting conditions, mainly overcast and cloudy. Love the action and the full-of-live expression of the osprey. Short of going back to the same place and hope for a better day, is there anything I can do to the image that could save it? Thank you for looking.

Cropped about 50% of width and 20% of height.

    Thank you

I think the action and water spray are great Loi. Do I also see a fish in the talons? It almost looks like a B&W because of the light. Maybe work the darks a little more for more contrast. I'd be tempted to play with some B&W versions as well.

Yes, there is a fish in the talons. I have other images with clearer view of the fish, but this is the pose of the osprey that I went after. I had a B&W version right after I took the shot, but was not happy with it. I will come back to it at some point later to see if I can improve further. Thank you.

The action and perspective is great. I'm seeing a cyan/green cast to it.

    Loi:

Def. agree with Alan about the strong color cast. Removing it helps remove the veiled feeling a bit. There just isn't much color to work with in this image, and the tonal range isn't wide enough for me to generate a quality b&W conversion from the jpeg.

You might be able to do more with another pass at the raw.

    Neat pose/action, bad light.

    Cheers

This is a great action picture. I do see some green cast to it.

Thank you all for looking. Looks like the best option for me is to find time to go back to the pond in Spring and hope to catch another pose on a day with good light. Good motivation though.

The action is awesome. I also like your low shooting angle. May the light be more in your favor the next
    time around.....

Thank you Shawn for your best wish. I tried to get as low a shooting angle as I could get on this shot. The only thing that prevented me from going lower was a fear of crocodiles in the pond. So wading was not possible.

Explosive action and well timed, lovimng the intensity of the water spray....Crocs or no Crocs, the low angle worked a treat

As others have stated the action is very nice and the low angle very good. Tough on the colour cast you had...I suspect the raw must be quite neutral too (but less greenish).

Dear All, the color cast is because I tried to warm up the image by tweaking the color temp. The RAW image does not have the color cast.
