    Default Black Neck Stilt

Captured this last summer at a local beach estuary. Thought the pose was different with the wing just touching the water.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. Appreciated

Very cool image David, definitely worth posting and the water contact of the wing makes this different. Well done.

Very dainty !.....very impressed with the timing on this shot David, talk about a " feather touch " to the water, beautifully simplistic

    Beautiful shot.
I really like the wing touch.Water is lovely.
    Tack sharp as well.
I see ~ 12 dust spots with several around the legs and in front of bill.
    Time to clean that sensor!!
    Well done,
    Gail

Fantastic flight pose captured, David. The wing tip touching the surface of the water and the perfect down wing position are great features.

Hi David, the light has brought out the green sheen on the wing nicely, and very well timed to capture the wingtip touching the water. Great eye, and agree you have a few dust spots in the BG.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.
Gail and Stuart , I am a stickler when it comes to a clean sensor and clean my sensor if I see even one spot.
I got lazy here as there were dozens of these spots in the water and didn't finish the clean up.
    Thanks again.

Stunning capture, David. Beautiful flight pose, great exposure; and the wing touching the water puts this one over the top. Just lovely (after you clean up those spots).

    David:

A beautiful display of how long and elegant these birds are, with perfect wing position and stretched out legs.

    Well exposed.

I am curious where you cropped?

    Cheers

Super cool image and so unique. The wing touching the water and amazingly straight body are so cool.

Great image David! I like the wing position, sharpness, exposure and composition. Wing touching the water makes this image special.
