    FAb's post reminded me ot this effect. Pretty simple. Layers, poster edges, erase through to some of the original. Make frame, use smudge to get effect and merge layers.
    The original of this, which is three shots focused on different areas, then blended in PS. The original is in animals.
    This Mojave Rattlesnake was found while I was shooting poppies. It is amazing what you find while lying down in the flowers.

    Steve If I come with that while crawling for flowers ...... no clue what I would do!!!! Don't they usually give a warning when you start to close in with the rattle?

    Alfred,
    This one had small rattles, is a juvenile and did not rattle. On the other hand, it did not strike either. Shot with a Sigma 180 macro, pretty close. it was a good subject once it calmed down.

    Very nicely framed by the plant, it looks comfortable. I'd be petrified!
