Managed to get this "reasonable" IF of the local buteo today. He showed up at lunch and gave the casa the once over.As usual had to shoot into bright light. So adjusted curves, NR and sharpened. 50 crop ME 100-400@400 HH ISO 400 Ev +2.33/1250.
    Added a catchlite.
Would like to know if the photographer can prevent the white boudary flare given the light position

Good flight pose, nice head angle...tough light. The image looks over-processed in my opinion. There is little in the way of
    fine detail on the bird.

Hey Richard, the guru's around here will tell you not to press the shutter in bad light..it will only frustrate you...I don't mind the rim light on the tail and rear of the wings, but I think you have a serious halo around the bird and you are getting some pretty serious posterization in the rest sky. This may be from over processing and maybe some jpeg compression. TFS

Nick, clearly not good, will reprocess and check CS6 settings; also my laptop sucks lol.
I always take the shot, its a learning curve.
