    Default Orlando in late April

I've finalized my plans to come to Florida: I have a conference in Orlando during the fourth week of April, so I'm going to stay a few days afterward to do some bird photography. What locations would you recommend during that time of year? I am thinking of going to Gatorland and possibly Merritt Island, but am wondering how fruitful those locales will be at that time. I'll rent a car, so I could drive down to the Everglades, and possibly to the west coast, as well. Your input would be much appreciated!

My first choice would be Gatorland (it will be full of nesting birds and chicks) and second would probably be Circle B Bar Reserve. You'll have to check closer to the time you are going to be here to see if Viera Wetlands or Merritt Island is going to be any good. I would personally not drive down to the Everglades at that time. I would go to Fort Desoto befor driving down to the Everglades.

If I were you I would check back just before your trip.

Thanks, Marina, this is very helpful. I'll check back just before the trip.
