    Default Bald Eagle silhouette

Another try at a silhouette. Was leaving my local lake in January after the sun had set. Hung around for a few minutes to chat with several other photographers when this guy flew in and perched on a close tree. (This is virtually full frame.) Not enough light to capture any detail, so I pushed the blacks in PP to create a graphic image. Cloned out an oof branch. Interested in your thoughts.

This is a perfect silhouette. I love the Eagles side profile. Classic looking. Might consider removing some of the twigs on the right. I like it better than the last 1 because it is completely solid black. Nice!!

I agree with David with his comments.
When i imagined this pic in a vertical crop instead of horizontal it appears interesting to me, may be you can try it as it will bring the solid eagle in the frame and dominate the frame completely.
    wonderful concept

Good job on the silhouette. I am good with the twigs and love the pose on the bird. One thing you may wish to consider as an option next time you are doing silhouettes, is to increase your kelvin to about 9900. Then you can compare the 2.

I really like this graphic image, Bill. I could see it on some notecards. I like the crop just as it is, and I think the form of the twigs on the right is almost callagraphic (don't know if there's such a word) and provides a nice balance.

Nice silhouette. I don't mind the twigs. I prefer a warmer colour in the background for silhouette.

Thanks everyone. Yes, Melissa, I believe calligraphic is a word, and that's the aspect that I liked about this. For me, the eagle by itself would be a little dull. But I'm always glad to see multiple opinions on BPN.

Thanks for the tip, Marina. I assume that could be done in RAW transfer? Or must it be set in the camera?
