    This image of Pond Heron was created few weeks back. One OOF branch above the head on the RHS is removed.
    Cropped for composition and sharpened.NR applied to BG.

    ISO: 400, 1/320, F: 8.0.Evaluating metering. Av mode.Canon: 550D, 400mm

    Lovely subject and talk about close! Super pose. I am seeing a yellow cast and would adjust with about a +6 on the blue slider of a Color Balance adjustment. I would also sharpen a little more, esp around the eyes and the crown.

    I love this! Great complementary blend of colors from BG to bird.... with a great "face" and focal point ... gave me a big "grin" too! (alternate caption: Do These Feathers Make Me Look Fat?).

    I'd say YES, but it depends on who is asking the question! Ah, If I were the bird, I'd have liked a tighter crop just my face please :)
