    Default White Pelican Portrait

Just a simple portrait of one of the few birds I found in any numbers on my Florida trip. Weather was beautiful and I was surprised by the very small number of birds to be found.
I liked this one , as I felt it has a very peacefull mood to it. This was at Ding Darling on 1-29-13.

Lovely details and pose here, Joe. Super calm water and nice details in your whites. I am seeing a pretty strong cyan cast here and a few dust bunnies.

Very restful and peaceful image. Love the calm water and the reflections of water on the plumage.Whites look good.
I echo Marina's sentiments- water color shows the cyan cast. Both easy fixes.

    Joe,

Great light and nice details throughout. The sharpness and composition are spot on.

I also agree with Marina about the color cast and the dust spots. I would consider removing the repetitive reflection of the head. A clone stamp work should do it.

Hi Joe, perfect angled pose, and I really like how we can see the water's reflection cast over the pelican.

Sweet light you had and very calm serene water.
I think it would look nice with a bit off the bottom and bit more above.
