    Default Wood Duck

Recently, I've taken to carrying a Canon SX50 in the car with me. While driving through my local county park yesterday, I noticed this Wood Duck. Processed in LR4 and PhotoShop, with a little help from a couple of Topaz plugins. I'm glad I had the little SX50 with me!

    Paul:

Welcome to BPN. Beautiful drake. Yes, always good to have a camera along, you never now what you might find.

Because of the filters you used to change the image, this image should go in Out Of The Box, a forum highlighting creative interpretations of images.

Avian really is for basically straight shots, although some filters such as noise reduction, Color Efex Pro, etc. are regularly used.

I have moved the image to OOTB, but left a thread so people can find it.

You are more than welcome to post a straight version of this image on avian.

    Cheers

    Randy

Paul, welcome to BPN and OOTB! This is nicely captured, colors are wonderful and I like the subtle use of the Topaz filters. I hope we see more of your images

Nice, these are one of my favourite ducks. Not always the easiest to get the colors right but you nailed this one...Welcome to OOTB

Hi Paul, and welcome indeed! I love the bright look and the cheery little WD. Nice use of the Simplify filter on this one, looking forward to seeing more!
