Hi Sanjeev, you are certainly maximising the use of your new lens, great and good to see you are looking across the board at different subjects, great way to get experience under your belt.
I would look at a pano crop, say 16 x9 to eliminate some of the dead space and bring more focus on the subjects. I would also look to applying a little Curves adjustment to add a bit more depth (darken slightly the mid tones) and apply some more selective sharpening to the main parrot.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers
Steve

Thanks Steve! Pano crop would have looked better, never thought of it! Agree with you that adding a bit more mid tone contrast and slight sharpening of the main subject will be good. I am enjoying my new lens, mostly birds though. Pl check the spotted owl pic I posted in Avian and give your thoughts. I liked the sharpness the 500 produces, way better than the 100-400!

Sanjeev,
Nice capture but regardless of the crop must watch distracting foreground elements (need clean edge). The bottom edge is too bright, full of detracting elements and pulls the eye. Consider alternative crops, more DoF or better angle on the subjects. Great comments from Steve and you too,..keep that new lens hopping,..show us more!
This is a great lens, that with more practice and postings should help take your photography to the next level!

Sanjeev,
This is a very colorful image. I agree with Jeff in that the outer edge is a little distracting. I think it's great that you were able to capture all three birds, though it might be nice if the eye of the bird farthest to the left was sharper. The center and left birds are the strongest, so it might be interesting to see what the image looked like without the other bird. The pano crop would be a good way to leave a nice frame without dead space. Everybody on ETL would love to see more fun photos from you.
