Some guys to deal with these are, had to use a lot of natural vegetation from around the lake to setup a hide and make this.

Great shot, nice and sharp with great colors. I really like the water dripping from the bill. The shovelheads around me are just as skittish and tough to get a real good cloeup.

Great capture! I don't think I ever gotten that close to a Shoveler. The colours and details are fantastic. Just wish the head angle is tilted slightly downward.

Superb, Kiran. Light, colors and low POV are just wonderful. Nothing to change here, IMO. Your fieldcraft worked wonders here.

Love the great detail, calm lake water, and the trickle of water coming from the bill. The whites look a little gray on my monitor; I might push them a little brighter.

This image is a real stunner, Kiran. Love your low angle and how you captured this beauty. Did you do any clean up on the bill at all? It looks so neat and clean. The iridescence you captured in the head is very nice and love the water falling off of the beak.

Super sweet image, Kiran. Excellent low angle, colors and IQ. The water running down the bill is an excellent touch. I'd make the whites whiter.
Would love to see an image of your organic hide
