    Default Black Honeyeater (Sugomel nigrum)

    Pretty happy with this shot..

    Been working on a set-up for last couple of weeks since I found the Black Honeyeater in the Bendigo Greater N.P.

    All comments welcome.

    Name: Black Honeyeater (Sugomel nigrum)
    Location:Bendigo Great N.P, VIC 6/02/2013)
    Gear: Pentax K-30 and Sigma 150-500mm @ F6.3 1/640 ISO800, 500mm Tripod and SuperHide.
    PP:ACR/CS5, shadows, Levels, selective colour (Blacks), sharpen.

    Nice pose of the bird captured here
    i would have liked the whites on the plant toned down a bit
    It looks a very interesting bird and i like it

    Great shot.
    Interesting bird, great pose, and wonderful background.
    The whites on the right side of the breast look a tad hot.

    One of the best Black Honeyeater shots I've seen Charlie, well done. These birds I very very rarely see, I've spent many hours tramping through rugged and arid scrub looking for these, and only twice seen them, tiny, shy and they are not an easy subject by any means.

    Thank's Phil was pretty lucky to stumble upon them, this is very south of there range..
