Saw this Brahminy starling on a palm tree last sunday, Feb 2, at around 4:30 pm. Tuticorin ,TamilNadu ,India.
Canon 7D, canon 100 - 400 L , Manual exp, f6.3,1/800, 0 eV, Handheld from car ,Cropped for composition,Minimal level adjustments, Noise reduction and sharpening done. The background is far off bushes.

Nice colors in bird and background, well exposed. Interesting perch. Good look back pose.
The head/eye look a bit soft to me, as if focus point was on the back.
If the image quality will allow, I could see a tighter crop from the left, with a balancing crop from the top to keep it from getting too square.

Love the colors and the pose and eye contact, I agree with Randy that the image may be a bit stronger if you try the tighter crop to the left. Nice Job!
