This male took off shortly before this image was taken. The water was calm which is a rare gift on Lake Ontario.
    Thanks for looking.

    Very nice fight photo.
The water is very nice and the reflection makes the photo.
As a very minor point, there is a dust bunny above the bird.
At f6.3, you probably need to clean the sensor.

The water is just perfect. I love the wing tip just about touching the water. Nice flight capture.

    Karl:

Excellent pose, angle in frame, soft water. I might consider cleaning up the catchlight just a bit to improve the apparent sharpness of the eye.

    Cheers

Hi Karl, you seem to be nailing these guys in flight, and another great inflight pose from you. Love the low flying angle, wingtip touching the water, and overall, well exposed.

Nice one Karl. The wing almost touching the water makes for a great pose. Exposure and details look right on. Well done

Excellent image Karl! Love the flight pose, low to the water flight path, and wavy texture to the water. I'd remove the detached part of the reflection at the tail, and speaking of the reflection I'd remove the greenish cast to it, even if that is the way it was out of camera...

Love this Karl. Beautiful movement in the pose and the water too. I really like how the wing just about hits the water

Nicely captured, Karl. I love the calm water, flight angle, reflection. Repost is an improvement. I went to Barnegat yesterday hoping for just this shot, but came up empty.
