    Default A female Marsh Harrier

These birds try and hover over the coots to try and nail some, i have seen only one successful kill that too a few years back.
In the latest incident seen last month this is the harrier female

Vishal, I like the design of the image with the bird set high and to the right of the frame, details of the underwing are great. Noticed that you shot with a 2X and f6.3. I wonder if you could get sharper images and details around the head and body at say f8 or even f11 since you had shutter speed to spare (1/8000).

I like the flight position and comp, and the warm bird against the cool bg. For my personal taste it might have looked better without the white border.

    Vishal,

I think Loi made some great points. The comp is great, and the lowered legs are a bonus.

The image looks like it has a bit of IQ loss, just a little soft. I think a touch of contrast and sharpening would do the trick.

She's a beauty and I love the dangling legs. Exposure spot on. Soft as presented, and for me personally I find her a bit too much to the right, not by much but enough for me to note it.

I was shooting a bird on the ground and trying to get a shallow DOF on it when i saw this female in the sky and raised my lens and made the image, i think the IQ would have been far better at the f8 or f11
