Broken Promises
Streaked Flycatcher shot from the verandah of the Asa Wright Nature Centre, Trinidad. I like this shot, but would like to know your thoughts.

I really like the energy of the branch angle at almost 90 deg to the body, and the very nice pose and lighting.
I'd crop quite a bit off the top -- the colors there is lovely but that's not enough to justify it for me -- a crop presents the bird bigger. And you might consider cloning or cropping the white areas in the LL. Small point, but clean edges keep the eye on the lovely subject.

Faraaz, I like this image a lot, and the re-crop by Satish helps the composition, and the contrast boost and sharpening help too. However, with the overall sharpening comes additional noise, and the BG needs some NR - in fact, I would use sharpening only on the bird and branch. Great pose and good use of the fill flash too. Thanks for posting!

Thanks very much for the pointers guys. When I get home I'll attempt some selective sharpening and see how things go.
Cheers
