    Visited for the first time Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Fl. Although most of the birds are injured and behind wire mesh cages, I was able to get this beautiful bird to pose.

    Nikon D300
    Sigma Lens: 50 to 500mm
    Focal length: 500mm
    Shutter speed: 1/60 sec
    Aperture: 6.3
    Exposure mode: Av
    Exposure compensation: +1/3
    Flash: On
    Metering mode: Multi-segment
    ISO: 400

    oscar, great job!!!! love the bg and the bird looks awesome. i selected some darker areas and brightened them. hope you like it. i may have overcooked that eye. looks like there is a reflection from a flourescent light fixture that is tough to deal with!!

    Hey Oscar, nice capture, I like Harold's repost, making your subject lighter and defining the eye. I would have liked it if the bird would be looking at you, instesd of away...:cool:

    Good comments !!!! If allowed fill flash would have been the ticket to go here !!!!

    The head area needed lightening I like the re post Maybe just a little less !!! I had forgotten about those birds at Flamingo Gardens !!!! Neat !!!!
