    Default Montagu's Harrier - Male

Made this image in Little Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, India when the sun was almost gone down and the bird came down to roost. As it was roosting time, it allowed a ground level shot. I didn't correct the reddish cast which is due to the late evening hue to represent the scene as it is.

    Canon 7D, Canon 500mm f4+1.4x TC, @f5.6, ISO 200, 1/125 Sec.

Beautiful image of this Harrier. I like the late evening light and the cast that it gives. Exposed well and lots of feather detail. Well done

    This is really nice Girish.
Great low angle and head turn.
The light is to die for and really accentuates the eye and lores area.
This would looks really nice as a vertical as well.

Excellent low angle shot. You might want to go a little brighter of the for- and background.

Almost didn't open this one -- couldn't see the great head turn from the thumbnail. Wonderful light and low POV. Glad you left the hue of the evening light.

This image rocks! love the look-back pose, the sharp eye and nice colour cast, very natural, I would never remove it! crop wise, I would crop a bit on top or would try to crop 3:2.

Sweet lighting! Great colour, exposure, and details! Love the pose, head angle, and POV. I also agree with Gail that it also looks nice in vertical frame.

Sweet light and a gorgeous bg. The low angle along, backside view and a full head turn makes this a unique raptor image. Terrific image.
