    Default Red-tailed Hawk

This is probably the 3rd or 4th wing beat from a low perch take-off.
Taken a few weeks ago in light snow.

Stunning image and the light snowfall really brings this image to another level. The pose is killer and you did a flawless job on extending canvas. I really love the way the snow reflects on your birds' bellies up up your way!

    Tim,

You captured this Hawk in a great environment - the snow makes this image that much better! Wonderful outstretched wings and very nice tilt of the head. Great job on the focus as well, as I can image it may be tough with the snow and hawk flying toward you.

Instant winner, Tim. The pose is excellent, the comp is perfect and the snowfall adds a ton of character to this image.
I'm continually amazed by your images at 300mm.

Hi Tim, love the flight pose, and the colours look good against the snowy BG. Well captured.
