    I setup a small perch near our bird feeders and photographed this mockinbird through our living room window.
    Nikon D3s
    1/250 sec at F8
    ISO 400
    500 mm f4

    Nice repost by Peter. I too would crop to take out the branch. Nice mockingbird shot with good eye contact Bob!

    Pete...Thanks! You are right it...the branch does not contribute at all...I do not know what I was thinking!

    Peter did exactly what I was thinking with this RP when I first saw the image. It's a lovely bird which is well exposed and sharp. Good BG. Removing the branch really helped bring it to another level by removing the distraction which helps the viewer to better focus on the bird.
