Here's another image from a few weeks back with the group of vultures that were keeping me entertained. I was shooting a pair and needed the dof then switched over to this guy and forgot to change my aperture hence the slow ss. Thanks for looking.

    What a nice grooming pose.
Unique bird to do close-ups of, they really work well.

I really like your composition Cheryl. Good choice of aperture too. I would have liked the bird to be looking slightly towards us, but otherwise excellent!

Glad to see even Vultures like to groom.....now we need to convince them to apply a little moisturizer as well from time to time lol

Nice close up Cheryl, rather like the timing with attention for grooming to that one feather, nicely placed in the frame and well contrasted against the plain green backdrop. I feel the eye, though very clear could do with a slight contrast tweak or at least slightly darken the pupil.

Hi Cheryl - this works well with all the different shades of green against the green bg. Very nice details and pose too. Rp takes it up a notch.

You did well getting the Vulture preening Cheryl, I also like detail and colours on the feathers and the detail of the warty face. I like the eye and green background, I agree with Doug in that it would be better if the bird was looking slightly more towards us.

Almost missed this one. Love the behavior and that green BG. Would have loved just a little more head turn.
