    Here's another of a green heron from the weekend.
    Shot 8 am in very overcast light at 1/125, f/9, ISO 800, +.33EV

    exposure was for the heron and the duckweed surface suffered overexposure,
    but I have learned to like the "minty" bg's

    I like the light Dave Beautiful look to those feathers Great looking bg and love the pose Would only with a slight head turn .... just facing the other way !!! Love the feel of this image !!!!

    I like the pose, soft light and open bill. Just a tad more head turn toward you and maybe some more sharpening.

    Just a slight head-turn, as others have mentioned, otherwise a great capture.
