    David,
Light and details are very nice.
I am not sure what the bird is on?
The DOF stops abruptly on the perch, a minor detail, just an Inquiry as to what it is.

Thanks for the comment Dan. The Dove is sitting on a granite boulder. The field that I photograph burrowing owls in has lots of these big rocks in it. Owls and hawks look pretty nice standing on these rocks too. Not to sure if its a bit much for this dove shot. Thanks.

    David:
Beautiful image of Dove.I like the pose with nice head turn and lovely colors. BG color is well complimenting with dove.
    Perch also looks good.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Hi David, good DOF on the dove, and I do like the semi look back pose. Good to see the layer of feathers, sharp, and Im fine with the rocky perch.

I think what Dan is refering to is the piece of rock at the top where the DOF falls away. It looks like that section is separate and further in front of where the dove is perched, thus falling out of the DOF. If that is the case, I would soften it a touch more.

The colors of the rock and the BG compliment the bird perfectly. The dove is very well exposed and sharp with a fine HA. I wish the oof rock was not there at all but this is excellent as is.

Nice pose and colors with good detail. Perch is nice and its colors complementary.

I think Doves and Pigeons are under rated, such lovely looking birds, and such a lovely sound they make in the mornings.

The over the shoulder look is nice and liking the earthy colors and especially the detail in the layered dorsal feathers, my only nit pic would actually be the feathers around the neck look a bit soft compared to the overall bird.

That's funny Phil because that's the only issue I had with it last night when I processed it. Everything was tack sharp except the collar. I figured it was either the soft feathers there or its neck is craned back far back enough that it is out of the depth of field.
    Thanks for the comment everybody.

Nice details in the ruffled feathers, excellent HA and IQ. Nice complimenting background. You are right, David this bird is rarely posted, although it is good looking one.
