Hi, Mitch, it's already spring here although it will be freezing in the morning for a couple of days. My bluebirds are already here :) I like this image and especially using the Flood filter. In a perfect world I would evict that diagonal stick in the upper left corner.

I like the overall composition and the framing of the cat. You've got some really interesting patterns going on from your use of Flood. I'd suggest using Shadows/Highlights or another approach to lighten the dark areas above the water. It'd give some detail to the area behind the cat, and would make the reflections in the water darker, which they normally would be.

I like the composition, colors and texture of the cat and it's nonaqueous surroundings. An uninterrupted arch over the cat would have been preferable IMHO. I agree with Dennis's recommendation of bring out more detail in the dark shadows about the cat. I like the flood effect; however, less may have been better ( 2/3s cat, 1/3 flood )

Hey Mitch, spring is still a long way off for us in the north. This morning is -18C (-0.4F) but I can hardley wait for it to start warming up. I really like what you've done with this image, I agree with above about cropping the flood effect a bit and removing the twig.....very nice work

Here is a re-post incorporating your suggestions. Better, worse, or the same?

Love the title. Our cats are also sleeping and dreaming of spring.

Lovely kitty. I like the browns and greens that unify the image, with the white on the kitty drawing my eye to her. Nice processing. The water and reflection give it that dreamy look. The repost looks great--more balanced. I could go with the original crop or the repost crop.

    Nice imaginative work.

Love the mood and the sleepy kitty! I have one on my lap right now... I like the repost, as I think it has a more subdued look to match the mood. I agree with thoughts regarding the crop, could use less water even though the effect is great. Well done!
