Hi Grahame, always a challenge learning new gear but in the end we are happy! This is a beautiful bird, nicely captured with excellent exposure, detail, head angle, and color rendition. Well done! The bg is a bit dodgy, and your cloning is obvious on the left, but you did a great overall job on the image. Your processing skills will improve in time. When cloning, use a soft brush at opacity around 80% - choose your clone source from the left, then from the right, and keep changing it up so it does not look like "step and repeat" patterns. Keep them coming!

Lovely bird and you did a good job with your composition. Good exposure with nice details in your bird. Cloning issues mentioned.

Very pretty bird! Agree with Kerry and Marina about the cloning. It takes a little practice, but the results are worth it.

Nice bird. Sharp with a perfect EXP. What looks like a sawed off end to the log is less than ideal. Just a bit less head turn towards us would have been better.
