    Default White-fronted Bee-eater

    I captured this image at a local White-fronted Bee-eater nesting site close to our home. We spend numerous weekends with them and capturing them! The light was perfect this afternoon and I didn't even notice the bee in his mouth until afterwards.

    Technical:
    Canon EOS 1D Mark 4
    Canon 100-400mm F4.5-5.6
    1/2500 @ F7.1 @ ISO 1600
    Exposure bias +1
    17:10 PM

    Brilliant open wing and open tail pose with lovely light. beautiful colours, nice background and that bee in the beak make this a very attractive image Wynand.

    Nice wing and tail position and great to have a Bee in the beak. That blue on the lower belly and undertail covert is the colour of that part?

    Beautiful pose, nice background and snack. I could see it with more space at the lower part and less on the right side. Well done.

    Extra nice image with the wings and tail feathers spread, great backdrop and sharp detail, ...perhaps a little more room at the bottom

    Great pose, colors, bg and the bee is a plus. I agree a little more room below would enhance.

    Superb pose and nice detail. Agree it's a bit tight at the bottom. All in all, terrific capture.

    Beautiful image.Very nice landing pose with full wing stretch.
    Love the the colors,sharpness,lights and complimentary BG.
    Nice perch and composition.Would add some room on LHS and at bottom.
