Great job with exposure in this fine shot. Blacks have good detail and the white bill is not blown. Not easy to do. Love the low angle as well.

Lovely details and terrific low angle. I would crop from the bottom but only if you have a little space to add to the top.

Love this! Great low angle and head-on view with a nice HA. I'd tone down (but not fully eliminate) the highlight on the dark part of the bill, but all else looks good to me.

Hi Robert - excellent image with a great low pov and fantastic details in the blacks. I find the vertical line reflection of the highlight on the bill at the bottom slightly distracting so would either crop or clone to eliminate it, whichever you prefer.

    Rachel

The angle really makes this! Love the exposure of the blacks and perfectly clean surroundings! An overall superb image!

Excellent shot love the low angle and the exposure and detail is just about ideal, my only reservation, albeit slight, is that I would take a slice off the bottom.

A difficult bird to photograph well, Robert, and you have done it...this is one of the best I have seen of this species. Nice low angle and great HA together with nice nearly monochromatic BG, and great light. Very well done.

I don't think you could expose Coots better than this.
YOu got the bill and the black feathers perfect.

Hi Robert, lovely low angle and HA from the coot. A difficult character to expose, but seems like you nailed this nicely. Their red eye always stand out against the darker plumage, and it shows well here. Love the ripple of water across the frame too.

Not easy to expose and you did very well, actually perfect. The whites are on the edge, and thats were they need to be to exposes the blacks well. Great HA and comp too. Nice work
