    Jim:

Sharp, well exposed, nice fill off the snow. Like the hints of brown in the BG to play off of the birds coloring.

Maybe tone down the snow on the left end of the perch he is on, to let a little more detail show.

    Cheers

Really like this shot Jim. Living in Michigan my whole can appreciate it. Maybe just my glasses but I would sharpen a tad more. Otherwise very nice.

Super job, Jim. I just love how the snow reflects back all that light so that the detail is so illuminated. Gorgeous portrait of this Tree Sparrow.

I'm also a fan of the hints of color in the background, and how the perch essentially fades to white. Great IQ. Since the rest of the bird is in such sharp focus, I wonder about DOF on tail? But I like as is as well.

Great detail and pose with clean bg. Consider toning down the snow perch as suggested by Randy.

Awesome image. I don't really have anything to add that has not been said.
To me, the snow looks excellent.

Very nice especially with the purity of the snow as a backdrop, the plumage shows nice detail and yet retains a rather nice softness that fits in well with the pure snow theme.
