This guy/gal flew by me so fast and so close, I was only able to get this frame out of four where I did not clip the wings.
I was very happy to have some seperation between the far wing and the head.
    Thanks for looking,
    Mike Veltri

Yes, the separation between head and far wing really makes it. Wonderful detail, and just the right amount of head turn. I also like the subtle range of colors in the bg.

The light is beautiful. The bird is sharp, and the mottled background is complementary rather than distracting. A wonderful shot!

What an excellent frame, Mike. Love how you've got the red shoulder showing. Wing position works nicely...often anything other than a full up or down stroke doesn't, but you've created one that really does.

Hi Mike, you are posting some impressive images lately, and Im sure you are equally proud to save this in your files. Lots of detail and colours to look at, and yes the separation from the far wing puts this up a few notches. Sweet BG too. You only need one killer image to make your shoot worthwhile.

Awesome RSH in flight. Congrats on getting that far wing to not merge with the face. Superb IQ, sharpness, detail.
