    Default Baby Great Horned Owl

They are 2 babies in the nest and parents are always close watching them. I have not had the cance to capture the parents feeding them. The babies look great.Website

Superb shot Mike, the vertical orientation and the 'V' of the trunk highlights the little owl well. Congrats.

I like the open beak, sharpness, exposure and composition. Nice image Mike.

Thank you for posting your settings, Mike. You did well cutting off the angle of this chick in the nest which I am guessing is pretty darn high. I like the comp you have chosen but, if you have it, would add just a little bit on top to make it more of a true vertical. Love that stare down and your owlet is sharp.

I am seeing a very strong yellow cast on this image. I would suggest that you bring the image back into ACR and check your white balance and see where it is set. I have a feeling it's far too warm. If you bring your image into PS as it is, you can do a Color Balance layer and lower the yellow quite a bit, maybe even the reds just a few points and you will see the difference. I think the best way to remedy the situation however, is in ACR.

While in ACR, I would recover the whites just a little to get a little more details in those cute white feathers.

Overall, I think with a little work, this will be a very fine image.
